My First TUVOC Drive Experience

Date: 11-Feb-2018
Day: Sunday

Dear Diary,

Today we are going on a TUV road trip with our dear TUV and other TUVians. I am taking my tab, my personal diary (that's You) along with a pencil, an eraser, and a sharpener. I am also taking my favorite book - Harry Potter and the Philosopher’ Stone.

When we reached Sireesh Auto [a showroom], we saw 28 TUVs all of them different colors gathered there. The colors were - Opulent Black, Diamond White, Tuscan Red, Moondust Silver, Molten Red, Volcano Black, Java Brown, Designer Grey, Arctic Blue, Toreador Red, Aqua Marine, Dynamo Red, Aquarush, Fiery Black, Sunset Orange, and Pearl White. We also saw KUV 100, TUV 300, XUV 500, Scorpio S10, and Bolero in Sireesh Auto showroom. We left from Sireesh Auto after the flag off. We got number 08 sticker for our TUV. All the TUV’s were in a line like a train. We passed through many highways and paid the toll.

Once we reached the resort - The Garden Asia - I had breakfast and then swam in the deep pool for almost 2 hours. After I swam in the pool, I was very hungry so we had lunch. For lunch, the menu was rice, dal, corn pulao, mix veg, chicken chilly, chicken curry, roti, plain rice, curd rice, rasam, papad, and pickle. I first took rasam & rice which is my favorite but the rasam was little spicy so I had curd rice and pickle (yummy). In desserts, we had gulab jamun and ice-cream.

Then we went to the Lavender Hall for a presentation. There was some nice music being played and some of the younger children were dancing on the stage. Each TUV owner introduced themselves. I was very excited and a little shy when my father introduced me as his partner on this trip! It was fun to have a father-daughter day out :)! After the introduction round, Sujit uncle introduced the new Website for the group. The website was launched by the youngest member of the whole group. I don’t remember her name but the baby girl was wearing a pink dress. Sujit uncle designed the website and my father wrote the content for it. After that, we had a group photograph session in the hall. Rajesh uncle called me to sit next to him for the group photograph and I was wearing the same T-shirt that they were wearing. I think I looked quite weird because it was very big for me. Then we had a photo session outside, in front of our own TUV’s.

In the evening, I had little tea and lots of onion pakoras. Rajesh uncle asked me to show my diary to Dinesh uncle. He was very happy reading whatever little I had written about the trip so far. I was very happy when Dinesh uncle took a photograph of the page I had written and a selfie with me :).

Soon, it was time to go home with our dear TUV and TUVians. Some uncles left early and some left late. I read Harry Potter on my way back and slept for some time. When I opened my eyes, felt sad that the day had come to an end but was happy to get back home :).

This was the first time I was going on such a drive with my father and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am now looking forward to many more such drives in my TUV with other TUVians!

Ananya Nambiar,
A student of AMIS – 3rd grade.
